Hawaii Trip Part II

17 March 2014 - 3 April 2014 I took a trip back to Hawaii.  I visited a friends there and kept quite busy.  While in Oahu I
Rode my first ATV, although it was governed at a slow speed

Stood up on a paddle board, yes in the water
Did some snorkeling in different areas
Scuba dived seeing octopi, a few turtles, numerous fish and starfish

"Swam with the sharks" while I was in a cage (selfies did not come out)

Seen whales (not up close but still seen them)
Swam in and showered under a couple waterfalls (not as easy or smooth as seen on tv).

Jumped of a cliff a couple times

and flew to Hawaii "The Big Island"

While in The Big Island I seen the volcano craters

 some lava flow, many spots of steam coming from the ground, waterfalls, walked to the END OF THE ROAD

walked through lava tubes/caves, swam and snorkeled in naturally heated tide pools and walked on a Black Sand beach

seen/went to/and jumped off of the Southernmost Point of USA

and took a helicopter tour of the volcanic area and waterfalls.  I even went up to Mauna Kea Ice Age Natural Area Reserve but got refused further access DUE TO SNOW!  That's right, I said SNOW in Hawaii.

Became a Certified SCUBA Diver

9 Dec 2013-15 Dec 2013, took, passed and became a certified SCUBA diver.  It was cold but fun and worth it.  Should be some fun in the future.

Bungee Jump

23 Nov 13, I went with a group to southern Washington State (not too far from Mt. St. Helens) at nearly 200 feet above a river.  I jumped twice consecutively, the first was a front leaping Swan Dive and the second was a backward Swan Dive.  It was a fun, stupid, and interesting thing to do.  I may do it again, next time a running jump and/or attempted back flip.  (Exertion and pain level = None)

Zip Line & Mountain Climb

1 Sept 13, went to Whistler, Canada, and climbed a mountain (Via Ferretta) after doing the Peak to Peak in a gondola.  Also while there we also did zip lining again, this one was the best I've been on so far.

Went Flyboarding

11 Aug 13, Went Flyboarding.  I was about 12-14 feet up (about 20 feet head high) and crashed down several times, also did dives and cool dolphin swims.  I t was very fun and I may do it again.  As a beginner they wouldn't allow higher but next time...

Rode a JetSki

11 Aug 13, I rode a jet ski for the first time.  At first I had my friend René on the back but after I threw her off I took her back to the dock and rode alone.  It topped out at 64 mph and was fun.  Turning and jumping at top speeds and it tried to throw me off but I locked on.  I will definitely do it again.

Pilot a Helicopter

27 July 13, I flew a R22 helicopter in Seattle.  The total flight was about 30 minutes (though it felt less) and I had control for only a few. Not as easy as you might be thinking.

Ride the Bull

20 July 2013, I went to Big Whiskey to ride Copperhead (the mechanical bull).  I stayed on for a while, though he did take it easy on me for being my first time.  Might do it again, might not.

White Water Rafting - Class 4+

13 July 2013, Went White Water Rafting on the Skykomish River in Washington State with AlpineAdventures.  I only had to pull on guy who fell out back in the boat.  It was calmer than I wanted/expected but we were in good boat with a friendly crew.  It was a good day.

Visit San Diego

4-7 July 2013, took a short trip to SD and went to Sea World and The San Diego Zoo.  It was pretty cool, the weather was exactly as I always thought it was there (Perfect).  On the last day we went to Belmont Park as well as walked the beach behind it.

Got a JOB, an enjoyable one

18 April 2013 - Got hired by NAPA as a Local Delivery Driver.  I drive about 100+ miles a day in the local area Mon-Fri am-5PM, so far it's a perfect job.

Take a trip to Hawaii

23-29 Sept 12, took a trip to Hawaii and stayed at Waikiki in Honolulu on Oahu.  Prior to this we (Rene' and I) went to Las Vegas and see a few shows and clubs with one of her friends from Europe.  During the Hawaii leg we stayed on the beach and took in two luaus (one at the hotel and one on the SW side).  We took a tour visiting Pearl Harbor seeing the Mighty MO (Battleship Missouri), Arizona Memorial, and some other sites on the way back.  We walked to Moana Falls which has a "Hollywood" history and finally, we walked the trail of/to Diamond Head and took a tour snorkeling and Sub-Scootering seeing numerous types of colorful fish and sea turtles.

Go Paintballing

5 Aug 12, went paintballing with some friends for my first time. There were lots of shooters per teams and many matches. This is the result of hours of fun. Yes, we won some and lost some.

Take a Road trip

25-28 May 2012, took a road trip with my friend down Hwy 101 to Tillamook, OR., Lincoln City, OR., Depoe Bay, OR., and Newport, OR.  We traveled the West Coast in my new convertible stopping, sightseeing, and staying the nights.  In Tillamook we visited the Tillamook Cheese Factory learning a bit and sampling the cheese.  Next we traveled to Lincoln City and ate at Dory's Cove and Mo's, went shopping at a true outlet, and seen a new movie in an old theatre (Bijou).  In Newport we went to the Undersea Gardens and seen many sea creatures and watched a feeding and quick lesson show then stopped by the north lighthouse for a look before heading back to Depoe Bay.  Lastly, in Depoe Bay we stayed for the Memorial Day "Fleet of Flowers" where they had a ceremony and the Coast Guard as well as many other private boats went out about 1/4 - 1/2 a mile out in a circular formation and placed flowers in the water "mourning the death of loved ones; especially those who lost their lives at sea, or who were buried at sea.

Seen A Play

28 April 2012, went to a local play with a friend, it was pretty cool and humorous.  Something I'll probably do again, get out and do the same.

Become a Certified Bartender

I don't have a job doing this yet BUT

On 23 March I aced the ABC bartenders course and the next day I earned my Washington State Bartender Certification with a 100% and later that day I passed the Washington State Food Handelers Course, which is mandatory to work this position in WA ST.  check out the course.

Visit Las Vegas
